Coach Colby Culp

Since 2021, Coach Colby has proven himself as an experienced basketball leader, mentor, and basketball-program director with a strong record of building competitive teams and value-driven athletes in Colorado Springs. During this time, he has served as Head Basketball Coach for Eagles Basketball, a Pine Creek feeder program, overseeing a $68K annual budget, leading fundraising and operations, and coaching 75 athletes across six teams. In this role, he developed practice plans, competitive strategies, and a core-values program centered on excellence, dedication, composure, toughness, and unity. As head coach for Eagles 2030, Colby led his team to 162 wins with only 51 losses playing in the most competitive leagues and divisions in the state, culminating in winning the most recent Just Play Sports (JPS) Gold Division Winter League Championship. Most impressively, he maintained 100% player retention over 5 years, and supported athlete advancement with all freshman players earning high school team placements.

Coach Kelly Lemmons

While Coach Kelly has been involved with our organization for several years, supporting both Skills and summer practices, this will be his first year as an official coach within the program. He brings a diverse background of collegiate playing experience, youth development, and competitive coaching to the program. Following his playing career, Coach Lemmons transitioned into coaching and athlete development. He served as an Assistant Coach at Lutheran High School in Salt Lake City, where he helped develop high school athletes and support varsity-level program growth. He also worked with the Basketball Doctor Foundation in Salt Lake City, focusing on skill development and mentoring high school players while assisting with placement into collegiate basketball programs. After moving to Colorado, Coach Lemmons continued his commitment to youth basketball, serving as an assistant middle school coach and coaching YMCA basketball for the past 8 years. The last three years he has been the Head Coach of a competitive team in the Hoop Dreams League in Colorado Springs, leading athletes in advanced skill development, teamwork, and competitive play. In addition to his coaching career, Coach Lemmons is currently a professor at the United States Air Force Academy, where he emphasizes leadership, discipline, and personal development—values he brings directly into his coaching philosophy. He is passionate about helping athletes build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and grow both on and off the court.

Coach Dan Deveau

Dan grew up in Colorado Springs and is passionate about the local basketball scene at all levels. Mountain Ridge MS became his neighborhood school when it opened in 1997, and although he was passionate about basketball, he was cut from the 8th grade team. This fueled and motivated Dan to become the best player he could be, and that hard work paid off as he competed at Rampart HS and eventually went on to earn a scholarship to play 4 years of Division II basketball at UCCS (3-year starter). As a coach, Dan started helping with YMCA teams before moving on to the competitive level to serve as an assistant coach and eventually head coach of the Falcons 2030 team. In his time as head coach, Dan led the team to several league and tournament championships including undefeated seasons in both Hoop Dreams Nation (HDN) and iHoop leagues at their most competitive levels. The team also won several championships in HDN and Game Time Events (GTE) tournaments and competed out of state at the 2025 MAYB Summer Kickoff in Wichita, KS, finishing with a winning record of 4-3 against elite competition. Dan will be serving as an assistant coach for Team Excellence 14U Blue under Coach Colby.

Coach Zack Howard

Zack joins the team and the organization as an assistant coach for the 14U White team, mentored by Coach Colby and Coach Kelly. With a background in high school basketball and a passion for player development, Zack is an active dad coach and mentor. He aims to enhance his coaching skills with Team White and will primarily assist Coach Kelly with in-game rotations and strategy.

Coach Casey Pellizzari

Coach Casey has served as Team Manager for Coach Colby's teams (Titans 2027/2030 and Eagles 2027/2030) since 2019. In this role, he ran the day-to-day operations and logistics necessary for a successful independent basketball club, including managing finances, event registrations and documentation, tracking statistics, and team-building events. In 2024, Casey began serving as an assistant coach for Eagles 2030 under the mentorship of Coach Colby and Coach Paul Alexander (Eagles/Chinook Middle School). Casey is dedicated and passionate about mentoring our boys both on and off the court. Just like Coach Kelly, Casey also serves as a professor at the United States Air Force Academy where he has mentored student athletes to be successful at the highest levels.
